I was very surprised from WP7. I was skeptic about the OS, but when a friend of mine bought the HTC HD7, I was stunned. This is an amazing OS, which can compete with any other OS out there, and sometime surpass them. I think those people that trash this OS without trying it should at least "taste" it before they comment.
As for Nokia, this is a great move for them. Nokia was sinking (at least in costumer's view). Nokia has great hardware. Now they have great software
Nokia (best hardwares) , Intel chip sets, Windows operating system has all the potential in the world.
